Gardens Of Frankfort Celebrate a Successful Event Honoring Coach Zvonar

The exclusive event hosted by Gardens Of Frankfort to honor Coach Zvonar of Lincoln Way East High School was a resounding success. Held on May 24th, 2024, at the esteemed CD & ME venue in Frankfort, the evening was filled with heartfelt tributes, live music, and a strong sense of community.

Attendance for the event surged north of 400, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm and support for Coach Zvonar. Guests enjoyed a night of celebration, delicious food, and exceptional entertainment, making it a memorable occasion for all.

Coach Zvonar, known for his dedication and significant impact on the students and community, was visibly moved during the event. He expressed his gratitude in an emotional speech, saying, "Thank you all for being here tonight and a special thank you to the Rose family and Gardens of Frankfort for putting up such a fun event." His words resonated deeply with the attendees, showcasing the profound connection he has with the Frankfort community.

The coach also took a moment to congratulate his friend Johnny Russley & The Beach Bum Band, who, along with the band Then Again, provided stellar musical performances that kept the crowd entertained throughout the night. Notably, Then Again is led by Jayson Polad, who also serves as the coach of the Lincoln Way East cheerleading team, adding another layer of community involvement to the event.

In his heartfelt address, Coach Zvonar reflected on his long tenure at Lincoln Way East High School: "It has been a privilege and an honor to spend the past 30 years at Lincoln Way East Community High School. 'Community' being the key word. What a blessing it's been to live, work and raise a family in Frankfort and in the Lincoln Way Community", said the beloved coach.

The event was further enriched by the presence of Joey’s Red Hots, a staple food vendor in the southern suburb communities, which provided delicious food that delighted all attendees.

"The success of this event underscores the strength and spirit of our community", said Mike Rose, in the name of Gardens of Frankfort. "We are proud to celebrate Coach Zvonar and grateful for the opportunity to bring our community together for such a special occasion. This event highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting and engaging with the people who make Frankfort a wonderful place to live". He also highlighted the importance of a project like this and how it would keep building community and the best quality of life possible for everyone.

The night concluded with a sense of camaraderie and appreciation, leaving attendees inspired by Coach Zvonar's enduring legacy.
